A machine pistol with a suppressor and 10-round magazine (although the magazine looks much longer in-game). It is difficult to determine what exactly it is based on, although it is clearly based on modern pistols, such as the Smith & Wesson 4500 series. The level 4 pistol, it is available as DLC.

The Smith & Wesson Model 12 appears as the ".357 Magnum" in the game (Although in reality this gun fires .38 Special). It is a very powerful weapon killing people in either one or two shots. It has a black finish. Used by Aldo in Cuba to escort Michael and Fredo. When he is killed Dominic takes the gun. When you're back at New York you have it. Level 1 magnum.

Smith & Wesson Model 629
The Smith & Wesson Model 629 appears as the level 2 magnum, and is called the ".44 Magnum Force", possibly a reference to the Dirty Harry film of the same name. It is found in New York. It (predictably) holds six rounds and is extremely powerful, even more so than the already powerful ".357 Magnum". It is another anachronistic weapon; the original Smith & Wesson Model 29 could be a more correct choice.

This is a massive anachronism (even considering the general anachronisms of this game)- the SV-99 was not available until 1999. It's also ridiculous to portray the SV-99 as a powerful weapon, as it shoots .22 rounds, and was developed primarily for use by special police forces for particular purposes, such as the destruction of light sources. Based on its in-game name, the developers possibly confused it with the more powerful SV-98 (an equally anachronistic rifle).

The Godfather II is a 2009 open world third-person shooter developed by EA Redwood Shores (later known as Visceral Games) and published by Electronic Arts. It was released April 7th, 2009 for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Microsoft Windows. A sequel to the previous The Godfather game, it again tells an original, non-canon story set in 1958, with characters controlling an original character, Dominic. A newly-minted underboss in the Corleone crime family, Dominic is given the task of expanding the family's operations from New York City into Miami and Havana.

The following weapons appear in the video game The Godfather II:

Pistols

Beretta M1951

The Beretta M1951 is the level 3 pistol. It is incorrectly referred to as the "Delta M1911". It is found in Florida. It appears to have a (tiny) suppressor and holds eight rounds.

Colt M1911A1

A suppressed nickel-plated Colt M1911A1 with a hammer from an anachronistic Colt XSE is the level 2 pistol. It is found in Florida and holds seven rounds.

Luger P08

The Luger P08 is the level 1 pistol and simply referred to as "Pistol". It is the first weapon to be acquired. This weapon is used by Dominic to guide Michael, Fredo, and Aldo out of Havana.

"Herzstopper"

A machine pistol with a suppressor and 10-round magazine (although the magazine looks much longer in-game). It is difficult to determine what exactly it is based on, although it is clearly based on modern pistols, such as the Smith & Wesson 4500 series. The level 4 pistol, it is available as DLC.

Revolver

Smith & Wesson Model 12

The Smith & Wesson Model 12 appears as the ".357 Magnum" (although in reality, this gun fires .38 Special) and is the level 1 magnum. It is a very powerful weapon, killing people in either one or two shots. It has a black finish. Used by Aldo in Cuba to escort Michael and Fredo. When he is killed, Dominic takes the gun and has it in his possession when he returns to New York.

"Magnum Enforcer .501"

".700 Magnum Impact"

Fictional revolver, apparently based on the Smith & Wesson Model 500. This is level 4 magnum, and is only available as DLC.

Submachine Guns

M1928A1 Thompson

The M1928A1 Thompson is used by almost everybody in the game, including your family (this is a mob game after all). It is modeled with a 50-round drum magazine, but it holds 40 rounds. It is called the "Tommy Gun" in-game. It is the level 1 gun of its class, first seen in Cuba used by the military.

MP40

The MP40 appears as the level 2 automatic weapon, incorrectly referred to as the "MP38". Used by Dominic's men if they have the right license, and by other families, but only their high ranking men. Found in Florida. It holds an incorrect 50 rounds.

Assault Rifles

AK-47

The AK-47 is the level 3 automatic weapon. It is fitted with a drum magazine that holds 60 rounds, with 300 rounds in reserve. It also appears to have some type of peephole sight. Found in Cuba. It is used by the hitman who performs a drive-by on Dominic's house in Florida. Used by high ranking mobsters, it requires an expert gun License. It seems that the drum magazine is taken from an RPD, which would be incompatible in real life.

Machineguns

"Modern Dillinger"

This fictional weapon is the level 4 automatic, and again acquired via DLC. It resembles the Maxim MG08/15 with a ribbed water jacket (like the Vickers/Maxim M1910) and pistol grip. It feeds from 75-round detachable drum magazines.

Shotguns

Browning Auto-5

The Browning Auto-5 appears as the "Schofield Semi-auto" (although this shotgun obviously has nothing to do with the revolver). The level 3 shotgun, it is found in Florida and holds five rounds. Used by Dominic, his men with the expert gun license, and high ranking enemies like Don Granado. Like other weapons with full, rifle-style stocks, it has a very severely angled pistol grip, likely for animation purposes.

Sawed-Off Double Barrel Shotgun

The level 2 shotgun is a Sawed-Off Double Barrel Shotgun of unknown make and model. It holds two rounds, like it should. It is found in the Corleone Compound early in the game, quickly replacing the level 1 shotgun.

Pump-Action Shotgun

A pump-action shotgun, vaguely reminiscent of the Winchester Model 1912, is the level 1 shotgun. This weapon is used by almost everybody in the game. The shotgun is treated as being single-shot, with the pump animation counting as a reload animation, which means player character never loads new shells into the tube magazine.

"Street Sweeper"

This level 4 DLC weapon is a fictional double-barreled version of the real Street Sweeper. It uses detachable drum magazines that hold six shells each for a total of 12.

Sniper Rifles

"Spitzer Centerfire"

A fictional sniper rifle, named "Spitzer Centerfire" (a completely nonsensical name, because these are just two terms relating to ammunition) appears as the level 2 sniper rifle, and can be found in Florida. It is apparently very loosely based on various AK-pattern sniper rifles: the receiver vaguely resembles the one from a .308 Norinco NDM-86, while the buttstock with a pistol grip resembles the one used on the Galil Sniper Rifle. To top it off, the gas tube has moved down the barrel, which is not the case on any known AK-derived rifle. It holds five rounds.

Izhmash SV-99

An Izhmash SV-99 with suppressor appears as "SR-98", and holds six rounds instead of the real five. This is the level 3 sniper rifle, and is found in Cuba. It is used by Dominic, his men if they have the license, and a few high ranking enemies.

SVD Dragunov

The SVD Dragunov appears as the "MG-S1 Sniper Wolfe" (a reference to the Metal Gear Solid character Sniper Wolf, albeit she uses a PSG-1) and incorrectly holds five rounds in a 10-round magazine. The Level 4 sniper rifle, is is only available via DLC like the other level 4 weapons.

Winchester Model 70

The Winchester Model 70 appears as "Sniper Carbine" (despite not being carbine-length at all), and is the level 1 sniper rifle. This weapon is also used by a Cuban to kill Aldo Trapani in Cuba at the beginning of the game. It is also used by Dominic when he attempts to kill Fidel Castro.
