How to know whether they used the LMT M203 2003 L2B or RM Equipment M203PI. :The LMT launcher attaches directly to a pic rail via a set of built in clamps. The M203PI on the other hand cant attach to a rifle by itself, it mounts via an adapter, like this one:This launcher attaches directly to a rail, which would suggest the LMT. However I am not 100% convinced it actually is one. You can just make out the writing on the side of the launcher which shows a white LMT oval logo, however I don't think this is actually on a real LMT and might be an indicator of an Airsoft launcher that is just using the trademark. Also, based on that one very dark image it is hard to tell, but i think that the clamps don't look right for a real LMT, looking more like those quick release clamps used on some fictitious airsoft variants like this one:  --commando552 (talk) 05:35, 10 July 2020 (EDT)

It looks like they took a few things from the reboot Tomb Raider series and ripped snips from the game for style. I just don't think adding a side kick character, especially noting new comer Daniel Wu is necessary...unless they made this movie to appeal for China approval. Excalibur01 (talk) 10:34, 22 September 2017 (EDT)

I saw it today. The story is based heavily on the 2013 game with Yamatai and Himiko, but altered somewhat so as to not be an exact retelling if it. And Roth served as a sidekick of sorts to Lara in the game, so I personally didn't mind Wu's character. But on a side note, I think they messed up on the wrecked WWII bomber. Outwardly, it appears to be a B-25, but when Lara gets inside, Japanese writing can be seen in the cockpit. Spartan198 (talk) 00:30, 18 March 2018 (EDT)
Are you sure it was Japanese? I'm not gonna pretend that I know enough to tell the difference between Chinese and Japanese but I know that the US gave B25s to China so maybe it was one of them? --commando552 (talk) 18:27, 24 March 2018 (EDT)
It looks like it might be that it's supposed to be a Mitsubishi G3M, given the horizontal part of the tail extends past the verticals and the cockpit's the wrong shape for a Liberator. Evil Tim (talk) 06:13, 28 March 2018 (EDT)

Previous film reference

Isn't the remark about the USPs here being two-tone kinda.. off, given that the pistols in the Jolie films are two-toned as well? StanTheMan (talk) 14:38, 22 September 2017 (EDT)

They were two-tone in the first movie. In the second movie, they were painted a bronze color all over and IMO looked ugly as hell. Since the guns in this one don't have the Cradle of Life paintjob, I removed the pics of the CoL USPs. Spartan198 (talk) 00:30, 18 March 2018 (EDT)

Rhinos in the Pawn Shop

Hey, so I had a quick question re; the weapon case from the pawn shop scene(bottom of the article). Pretty clearly visible among the pistols in the case are a pair of Chiappa Rhino revolvers: a 20DS with a stainless or nickel finish on the door behind Lara, and a second one, with a black finish and wood grips, inside the case, second shelf from the top. I'm not entirely sure if that's a 40DS or a 50DS. To my eye, it looks like a 40DS, but I'd like to know what y'all think. --Marionette messiah (talk) 22:14, 27 March 2018 (EDT)

Deffinitely a 40DS. With Rhinos it is easier to tell than with most revolvers as you can just count the vents in the rib. 20s have 0, 40s have 2, 60s have 3, and 80s have 4. --commando552 (talk) 05:57, 28 March 2018 (EDT)

Thought we should have a go at identifying all of these:

Info about Walton Goggins

Why does it say the beretta appears to be his preferred weapon? The only other time he's carried it as a primary weapon was in Justified. --Slemke1998 (talk) 10:32, 25 April 2018 (EDT)

He also used it in The Shield, my guess is that actors get to choose the guns they use unless it's specifically named in the script probably to help with convincing weapon handling. Since he used Berettas in other productions it's a decent hypothesis that he likes it enough to choose it instead of the other guns available to him. Just my guess though. Black Irish Paddy (talk) 11:42, 25 April 2018 (EDT)
The one he used in the shield was briefly taken from another character. His primary was the cougar --Slemke1998 (talk) 12:09, 25 April 2018 (EDT)
Just a guess, you'd have to ask who added that to find out what their line of thinking was. Black Irish Paddy (talk) 12:30, 25 April 2018 (EDT)
Walton has used the Beretta in The Shield, Justified, Six and now Tomb Raider (2018). --Ben41 (talk) 21:14, 25 April 2018 (EDT)
But he's also used a P226 also in Six and a Glock in G.I. Joe: Retaliation. IT's hard to assume the Beretta is his preferred weapon of choice when realistically as an actor, he had no choice with what guns to use. Excalibur01 (talk) 21:37, 14 June 2018 (EDT)

The M203?

How to know whether they used the LMT M203 2003 L2B or RM Equipment M203PI. To me they look the same. --Nanomat (talk) 13:33, 9 July 2020 (EDT)

The LMT launcher attaches directly to a pic rail via a set of built in clamps. The M203PI on the other hand cant attach to a rifle by itself, it mounts via an adapter, like this one:
