Young America

Harrington & Richardson Young America Bulldog - .32 Rimfire

Young America is a series of H&R double action solid frame compact revolvers, manufactured in 1884–1941. Approximately 1,500,000 Young America revolvers in cal. .22 and cal. .32 were made. Standard barrel length was 2.5 inches; 4.5 inch and 5.5 inch also existed but in small numbers. First model, designed for black powder cartridge, was manufactured in 1884–1904 and was replaced with Second model, designed for smokeless powder cartridge. Variants of Young America revolver include Young America Bulldog, chambered in .32 Rimfire, and Young America Safety Hammer with bobbed hammer, patented in 1887.

Premier is a series of H&R small frame top-break double action revolvers, manufactured in 1895-1941. Revolvers were chambered in .22 Rimfire (7-shots) and .32 S&W (5-shots). The Premier models can be visually distinguished from the Automatic Ejecting models by the addition of long horizontal cylinder stop notches.
