Pacific Rim: Uprising is the 2018 science fiction sequel to 2013's Pacific Rim. The sequel finds the people of Earth once again having to battle a new breed of Kaiju. John Boyega stars in the film as Jake Pentecost, the son of Stacker Pentecost (Idris Elba), who finds he must face his legacy in order to save the earth from the new creatures. The film's cast includes Scott Eastwood, Cailee Spaeny, Jing Tian, and returning cast members Charlie Day, Burn Gorman and Rinko Kikuchi.
