Colt 1903 Pocket Hammer Pistol
Plato (Sal Mineo) takes a nickel-plated Colt Model 1903 Pocket Hammer with pearl grips from his mother's bed. He uses it in the abandoned house. Later, Jim Stark (James Dean) removes the magazine from the pistol in the film's climax. It should be noted that despite Jim's failure to eject a round from the chamber of the 1903, the hammer is down after the magazine is removed, meaning that there could not be a round in the pistol.
Colt New Service
A Colt New Service is used by officers in the film's climax.
