'''''Saga of Tanya the Evil''''' (known in Japan as 幼女戦記, ''Youjo Senki'', lit. "The Military Chronicles of a Little Girl") is an adaptation of a Light Novel written by Carlo Zen and illustrated by Shinobu Shinotsuki. The animated adaptation started airing on January 6th, 2017 to March 31st, 2017 and spans 13 episodes, one of which being a recap episode. The show chronicles the exploits of Major Tanya von Degurechaff, a 10 year old girl who is actually the reincarnated form of an unnamed Japanese atheist salaryman, who had in his dying moment denied that God existed, preferring to call him "Being X". Reborn in the magic-filled alternate history world just before that reality's Great War/First World War, Being X implores him to eventually find faith before his next death, or else he would be cut from the cycle of reincarnation. | '''''Saga of Tanya the Evil''''' (known in Japan as 幼女戦記, ''Youjo Senki'', lit. Saga of Tanya the Evil (known in Japan as 幼女戦記, Youjo Senki, lit. The show chronicles the exploits of Major Tanya von Degurechaff, a 10-year-old girl who is actually the reincarnated form of an unnamed Japanese atheist salaryman, who had in his dying moment denied that God existed, preferring to call him "Being X". Reborn in the magic-filled alternate history world just before that reality's Great War/First World War, Being X implores him to eventually find faith before his next death, or else he would be cut from the cycle of reincarnation.
The following weapons were used in the anime series Saga of Tanya the Evil:
Pistols
Luger P08
Tanya is seen holding a Luger P08 in the ending sequence.
Roth-Steyr M1907
The unnamed Dacia General appears to be using a Roth-Steyr M1907 against Tanya in the Duchy's failed invasion of the Empire. Ultimately, it does little good to the mage's shields.
MAS Mle. 1892
All hope lost, Republican officers trapped by the Empire's encirclement in the Rhine Front take their lives with what seems to be their issued Mle 1892 Revolver, as characterized by the spur behind the trigger containing the large screw.
Submachine Guns
SIG MKMS
Entente Alliance mage, Anson Sioux is gifted a SIG MKMS as an early Christmas present from his daughter, Mary Sioux. Tanya ends up taking it after defeating Anson over the fjord and uses it against partisans and Republican mages in episode 8.
Shotgun
Winchester Model M1897 "Trench Gun"
Col. Anson Sioux, when joining the Allied Kingdom's task force during the Republican Army's encirclement and destruction is supplied a new Winchester Model 1897 "Trench Gun" which he loads with specialist shells using a speedloader.
Rifles
Mauser Gewehr 1898M
The Empire's regular infantry and Republican partisans are armed with the Mauser Gewehr 1898M, characterized by its straight bolt and lack of a recess for the turned bolt of its carbine variants or the Karabiner 98k. The Empire is analogous to a merger of Imperial Germany and Austria-Hungary.
Kar98k "Kriegsmodell"
2 Republican partizans can be seen with what it seems to be a Karabiner 98k "Kriegsmodell"
Lebel 1886
The Francois Republic's regular infantry is armed with the Lebel 1886, seen mostly in the Rhine Theatre in the anime. The Francois Republic is analogous to that of the French Third Republic.
1896 Swedish Mauser
The Legedonia Entente Alliance's regular infantry is possibly armed with the M1896 Swedish Mauser, as the Alliance is analogous to a union of Sweden and Norway.
Mannlicher M1893
The Dachia Grand Duchy's regular infantry are armed with the Mannlicher M1893, the standard rifle of the Kingdom of Romania from which the Dachia Grand Duchy is based on.
Mondragón Rifle
Tanya and all other Empire mages are armed with the Swiss Mondragón Rifle fitted with detachable 12-round magazines, most likely to parallel the acquisition of the SIG Mondragóns by the German Empire in the prime timeline.
R.S.C. Mle. 1917
The Republican mages are equipped with the R.S.C. Mle 1917 as their primary weapon.
M1 Garand
The mage units of both the Legadonia Entente Alliance and Allied Kingdom both use the anachronistic M1 Garand. No doubt something along the lines of financial and materiel sales by the Unified States, this universe's analog to United States, as it is noted in other media that the U.S. is a financier of the belligerents.
Revolving Rifle
A Revolving Rifle can be seen hanging on the wall of the recruiting office of the Unified States in Episode 12.
Machine Guns
Maxim MG 08
The Empire seems to be using the Maxim MG08 as support weapons.
Lewis Gun
The Blériot 127 bombers used by the Alliance utilizes the Lewis Gun in its Aircraft mounted form in twin-gun mounts.
Vickers Mk. I
Republic troops use the Vickers gun as support for troops in the trenches.
Flamethrowers
Wechselapparat M1917
As part of the entrapment of the Republican forces at the Rhine theatre, the Empire deploys troops utilizing the Wechselapparat M1917, giving no option of retreat for the trapped Republican forces.
Hand Grenades
Model 24 Stielhandgranate
Tanya and her mages utilize the Model 24 Stielhandgranate twice so far in the series. First bombing the Dacia invasion forces, the second in downing the lead bomber of the Alliance bomber formation.
Other
Canon de 155mm GPF
Canon de 155mm GPF cannons are used by Republican forces.
3 inch Stokes Trench Mortar

The main field gun of the Empire Army is the 10 cm Krupp Kanone 14.
28 cm MRK L/35
The Legedonia Entente Alliance Fortress guns are 28 cm Krupp Coastal Guns which is a reference to the German occupation of Norway during World War 2.
7.58 cm Leichter Minenwerfer
Empire soldiers can be briefly seen with a 7.58 cm Leichten Minenwerfer in Episode 9 during the pretended retreat.
1938 Railway Gun TM-3-12
A 1938 Railway Gun TM-3-12 is seen in Episode 12 deployed by Russy Federation on their Western border.

The Empire Army used Panzer III in Episode 10.
