::Ohhhh... that makes sense. I thought that the A2 was an improved version of the A1, and the barrel length was simply an option for either. Thanks for the clarification. ==CZ BREN 2== | |||
Regarding my recent edit, the CZ 807 is actually a different weapon from the 7.62x39mm BREN 2, as Ian explained in [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0TTEBL-BAlA this video.] On another note, was the "CZ 806" ever an official designation? (perhaps in early development stages?) It's been often used on the internet, but as far as I'm aware, CZ only ever called it "BREN 2". --[[User:Ultimate94ninja|Ultimate94ninja]] ([[User talk:Ultimate94ninja|talk]]) 17:04, 4 November 2023 (UTC) |

Name
What's with the name? The original Bren was short for BRno ENfield, taking its name from where it was designed and where it was built, but as far as I know, Enfield has nothing to do with this design. Is it just in tribute to the original Bren gun? --Funkychinaman (talk) 08:49, 6 November 2013 (EST)
- Well, by all accounts it's basically internally a SCAR, so maybe it's BR-FN made pronounceable? :P Evil Tim (talk) 08:58, 6 November 2013 (EST)
- All references seem to have BREN in all caps as well, unlike the original Bren gun. --Funkychinaman (talk) 09:15, 6 November 2013 (EST)

A1 vs. A2
How exactly does one tell the rifles apart? Looking at the images, I can't really identify anything. Pyr0m4n14c (talk) 23:13, 8 August 2017 (EDT)

CZ BREN 2
