The Bridge (Most) is a 1969 Yugoslavian partisan film directed by Hajrudin Krvavac and starring Velimir 'Bata' Zivojinovic as Major "Tiger", the Yugoslavian partisan commando on mission to destroy the heavily guarded bridge in mountain valley. The only person who knows the weak spots in the construction of the bridge is the architect (Slobodan 'Cica' Perovic) who built it, but he is strongly opposed to the destruction of his creation. Meanwhile SS-Standartenführer Hofman (Hannjo Hasse) who is aware of "Tiger"'s mission prepares the cunning trap for the commandos.

The following weapons were used in the film The Bridge (Most):

Pistols

Walther P38

Most German and Yugoslavian partisan officers carry Walther P38 pistols in holsters. The P38 is seen in action in hands of SS-Untersturmführer Nimayer (Demeter Bitenc).

MP40 SMGs are used by all members of commando group: "Tiger" (Velimir 'Bata' Zivojinovic), Zavatoni (Boris Dvornik), "Tihi" (Boro Begovic), Mane (Jovan Janicijevic-Burdus), Jelena (Sibina Mijatovic) and "Bambino" (Igor Galo). Numerous German officers and soldiers, notably SS officers Standartenführer Hofman (Hannjo Hasse), Obersturmführer Kautz (Relja Basic), Untersturmführer Nimayer (Demeter Bitenc) and Sturmführer Reinecker (Slobodan Velimirovic), also use MP40s.

Machine Guns and Autocannons

MG42

MG42 machine guns are used by German soldiers in several scenes. During the final shootout on the bridge "Tiger" (Velimir 'Bata' Zivojinovic), "Tihi" (Boro Begovic), Mane (Jovan Janicijevic-Burdus) and Jelena (Sibina Mijatovic) use captured MG42s. These machine guns could be not genuine MG42 but the Yugoslavian clone Zastava M53 that are nearly identical.

Other Weapons

Model 24 Stielhandgranate

German soldiers carry Model 24 Stielhandgranate hand grenades. During the final shootout "Tihi" (Boro Begovic) shows the impressive feat of catching the grenade in air and throwing it back (a complex but basically executable trick due to four-and-a-half second delay of the fuze).

Trivia

Armour

T-34-85 tanks and M3 Scout Car APCs stand for German armoured vehicles. They aren't visually modified, unlike many other WW2 movies.
