Insurgency: Modern Infantry Combat is a multiplayer total conversion mod for Half-Life 2, available on Steam. Insurgency focuses on realistic modern warfare, and involves combat between the USMC and Insurgents on maps set from Iraq to Afghanistan.
A retail sequel, simply titled Insurgency, was released on January 22 of 2014.
The following weapons appear in the video game Insurgency:
Weapons used by USMC
Beretta M9
The Beretta M9 is used by the USMC by default.
M45 / MEU(SOC)
The M45 can be only equipped either by using cheats or playing on custom servers. Labeled "MEU SOC 1911" ingame and "1911" in game files.
Colt M16A4
The M16A4 is available to the Rifleman and Grenadier classes.
The Grenadier class in the game allows the M16A4 to be wielded with an M203 Grenade Launcher.
Colt M4A1 Carbine
The M4A1 is available to the Sergeant class. The M4A1 with vertical foregrip is the primary weapon, but you can also choose a one with M68 AimPoint sight.
Benelli M4 Super 90
The Benelli M4 Super 90 appears as "M1014 JSCS" (Joint Service Combat Shotgun) and is available to the Engineer class. Note that Insurgency is one of the few games to have proper shotgun reloading; if the magazine is empty, the player will insert one shell, chamber it and then inserts the rest of the shells.
M249 SAW
The M249 Squad Automatic Weapon is available to the Support class.
M14 Designated Marksman Rifle
The M14 Designated Marksman Rifle is available to the Marksman class. The bipods can be deployed to improve accuracy.
Weapons used by the Insurgents
Makarov PM
The Makarov PM is used by the Insurgents by default.
AK-47
The AK-47 is the standard Insurgent Rifleman weapon, capable of fully automatic and semi automatic fire.
SKS
The SKS rifle is the alternative weapon for the Rifleman class.
L1A1 SLR
The L1A1 is the standard weapon of Insurgents Militant class.
AKS-74U
The AKS-74U is the alternative weapon for the Militant class.
RPG-7
The RPG-7 is available to the RPG class.
TOZ-87
The TOZ-87 is available to the Sapper class. It seems to be fitted with extended magazine tube.
RPK Light Machine Gun
The RPK light machine gun is available to the Support class.
Al-Kadesiah
The Al-Kadesiah, an Iraqi clone of the SVD Dragunov, is the standard weapon of Insurgent Sniper class.
Enfield L42A1
The Enfield L42A1 military rifle is the other weapon selectable of the Insurgent Sniper class.
Grenades
RGD-5 Hand Grenade
The RGD-5 hand grenade is the standard hand grenade of the Insurgent team. It uses the same world model as M67 hand grenade.
M67 Hand Grenade
The M67 hand grenade is the standard hand grenade for the USMC team.
M18 Smoke Grenade
The M18 smoke grenade is used by the Militant/Sergeant and Sniper classes of both alliances.
