'''''Bionic Woman''''' was a short-lived television remake of the 1970's ABC Lindsay Wagner sci-fi series. The series remake aired for an abbreviated season just before the Motion Pictures and Television Writers strike of Winter 2007-2008. ''(The striking union was the WGA - Writer's Guild of America)'' The series was the brainchild of David Eick, who had tackled television remakes previously as co-producer of the successful re-imagined ''[[Battlestar Galactica]]'' television series, but in this case, the situation was handled poorly. Dark, depressing, and without a soul, ''Bionic Woman'' tried to capture the feel of BSG (the series was filmed in Canada, making it possible for numerous BSG actors to do cameo appearances), but it was a misguided effort. The ratings plummeted after the first episode, being that this was a dark and ultimately unsatisfying show about a super-heroine who could never use her powers in public. The writer's strike put the nail in the show's coffin and it was not renewed for more episodes after the strike ended in the early Spring of 2008. Typical of Hollywood, all of the blame for the expensive show's failure was hurled at the show's star, [[Michelle Ryan]], which was exceptionally unfair, since the show's weaknesses lay squarely on the shoulders of the producer, director(s) and script writers. | |||

Bionic Woman was a short-lived television remake of the 1970's ABC Lindsay Wagner sci-fi series. The series remake aired for an abbreviated season just before the Motion Pictures and Television Writers strike of Winter 2007-2008. (The striking union was the WGA - Writer's Guild of America) The series was the brainchild of David Eick, who had tackled television remakes previously as co-producer of the successful re-imagined Battlestar Galactica television series, but in this case, the situation was handled poorly. Dark, depressing, and without a soul, Bionic Woman tried to capture the feel of BSG (the series was filmed in Canada, making it possible for numerous BSG actors to do cameo appearances), but it was a misguided effort. The ratings plummeted after the first episode, being that this was a dark and ultimately unsatisfying show about a super-heroine who could never use her powers in public. The writer's strike put the nail in the show's coffin and it was not renewed for more episodes after the strike ended in the early Spring of 2008. Typical of Hollywood, all of the blame for the expensive show's failure was hurled at the show's star, Michelle Ryan, which was exceptionally unfair, since the show's weaknesses lay squarely on the shoulders of the producer, director(s) and script writers.
The following weapons were used in the television series Bionic Woman:
Handguns
M1911A1
In "Pilot" (S1E01), Jae Kim (Will Yun Lee) carries a nickel-plated M1911A1 when he searches for Sarah Corvus in a darkened building. He later switches to the Beretta 92FS almost exclusively for the rest of the show.
Beretta 92FS
In "Paradise Lost" (S1E02), the Beretta 92FS is used by Jae Kim (Will Yun Lee) when he is hunting for Sarah Corvus and then is almost exclusively carried for the rest of the season. Also carried by Antonio Pope (Isaiah Washington) when he leads the BG tactical team.
Jericho 941
- In Episode 4 (Faceoff), Antonio Pope (Isaiah Washington) manages to grab a Jericho 941 out of the holster of the terrorist holding him hostage, and with hands bound behind his back, manages to shoot several terrorists with the pistol - 9mm.
Glock 17
- Episode 3 (Sisterhood) - A Serbian Gangster wields a Glock 17 but gets beaten down by Jaime Sommers.
Browning BDA
- Episode 3 (Sisterhood) - A Serbian Gangster wields a Browning BDA but gets beaten down by Jaime Sommers.
- Still open to input, still not sure. MPM2008
Custom M1911A1
- Episode 5 (The Education of Jaime Sommers), Antonio Pope uses a custom M1911A1 match pistol with Novak Sights and a Suppressor during the fight in the marketplace.
CZ 75
Sarah Corvus (Katee Sackhoff) takes a CZ 75 pistol from a Serbian gangster and turns it against him.
Walther P99 Two Tone
- Episode 3 (Sisterhood) - Another Serbian Gangster wields a Walther P99 two tone pistol but gets beaten down by Jaime Sommers.
Glock 30
- Episode 2 (Paradise Lost) - Ruth Treadwell (Molly Price) carries a Glock 30 subcompact pistol - .45 acp.
Beretta 93R
- Episode 8 (Do Not Disturb) a hitman fires a Beretta 93R, however when he drops the gun, it turns into a rubber Beretta 92FS mocked up to look like a 93R.
Heckler & Koch P7
SIG Sauer P226
Walther PPK
Webley Tempest Air Pistol
Jae Kim (Will Yun Lee) uses a Webley Tempest Air pistol (probably masquerading as a tranquilizer gun) when he captures Sarah Corvus one more time.
Submachine guns
Heckler & Koch MP5A5
- Episode 1 (Pilot): the Heckler & Koch MP5A5 is extensively used by the security forces of the Berkut Group. While analyzing the sequence, these MP5s have the four position trigger group, making them the A4 variant. They also never fire, so they could be airsoft guns.
- Episode 2 (Paradise Lost): used by mercenaries disguised as U.S. Marines and also by the Berkut Group's Tactical teams. These guns also fire, so it can be assumed that the show switches to MP5A3s when they have to fire blanks (thus supporting the theory that all of the A4/A5s in the show are airsoft guns).
Heckler & Koch UMP-45
- Episode 1 (Pilot): The Heckler & Koch UMP-45 is used by 'the man' (Thomas Kretschmann), a mysterious shadow world figure who was never explained due to the show's sudden cancellation.
Heckler & Koch MP7A1
- Episode 2 (Paradise Lost) - Berkut Group Tactical team members carry MP7A1s during a night time raid.
Uzi
Mini Uzi
Rifle/Carbines
M4/M4A1
- Episode 2 (Paradise Lost): the M4/M4A1 carbine is used by mercenaries posing as Marines. Berkut Group analyst Ruth Treadwell (Molly Price) also picks up a flat top M4 from the gun rack ... of a pawn shop (?!) to fight off the phony Marines.
M16A1
- Episode 5 (The Education of Jaime Sommers): An Olympics Arms AR15 is outfitted with A2 handguards to impersonate an M16A2 in Iraq. The base rifle was Olympic Arm's civilian version of the M16A1, converted to auto fire in Canada.
AK-47
Zastava M70AB2
A Zastava M70AB2 (the underfolder Yugo AK) rifle was used by a gunman to score a direct hit to Jaime's right shoulder in the episode "Faceoff". The rifle is recognizable by the grenade launcher sight attachment to the gas block and the three heat vent holes in the front fore arm - 7.62x39mm
Sniper Rifles
Savage 10FP Sniper rifle
Jaime Sommers uses a takedown model of the Savage 10FP Sniper rifle fitted in a Choate stock in Episode 8 (Do Not Disturb).
Barrett M82A1
In Episode 7 (Trust Issues), Jonas Bledsoe (Miguel Ferrer), Antonio Pope (Isaiah Washington) and Jaime Sommers (Michelle Ryan) talk about the new computer aided sighting system and special ammunition that some assassin has for the Barrett M82A1 Anti-Materiel rifle.
Heckler & Koch SL8-4
The Heckler & Koch SL8-4 rifle is used in the Pilot episode by the homicidal "first Bionic Woman" Sarah Corvus (Katee Sackhoff) to snipe at Doctor Will Anthros, Jaime Sommer's fiancé.
Shotguns
Franchi SPAS-12
- Episode 1 (Pilot): The Franchi SPAS-12 shotgun is seen only once, wielded by security forces of the Berkut Group.
Machine Guns
M249-E2 SAW
- Episode 1 (Pilot): the M249-E2 SAW is extensively used by the security forces of the Berkut Group.
Hand grenades
MK II Hand Grenade
- Episode 2 (Paradise Lost): rather anachronistically attached to a U.S. Marine's web gear. There is a continuity break moments later when a booby trap is made with the grenade and it changes into an M67 Grenade.
M67 Hand Grenade
- Episode 2 (Paradise Lost): An M67 is used in a booby trap. Previously it was a MK II Grenade when it was attached to an unconscious Marine's web gear.
