Westworld is the HBO series adaptation of the 1973 science fiction film written and directed by Michael Crichton. Like the film, the series revolves around a futuristic theme park which has recreated the Old West using ultra realistic androids. This adaptation is being executive-produced by J.J. Abrams, Burn Notice producer Lisa Joy and Person of Interest creator Jonathan Nolan. The cast includes Evan Rachel Wood, Ed Harris, Aaron Paul and Anthony Hopkins. The series premiered on the premium service HBO in October of 2016 and aired for four seasons and 36 episodes until August of 2022.
