Is that allowed? Pilot Movie vs. Series
So this is my attempt at a page for the '70s Wonder Woman series. I'm still an amateur to both this wiki and firearms in general, so I hope I haven't embarrassed myself too badly.
I'll be posting several guns in this show I can't identify by sight later, but for now, I have a more administrative question - so far, all of my entries have been about the made-for-TV movie that served as the show's pilot. Is that allowed? It seemed kind of silly to have different pages for the pilot movie and the series proper, but if that's how you guys handle such things, please tell me so. --RubberLotus
- If it's a TV movie, you can have it as a standalone movie. If it's a standalone movie meant as a backdoor pilot, then I suppose it can go either way. --Funkychinaman (talk) 17:03, 11 October 2016 (EDT)
- IMDB lists this as the first episode of the series, so no, it can't be a standalone. --Funkychinaman (talk) 22:02, 11 October 2016 (EDT)
Bank Robbers
Okay, it's later. Anyone know what revolver(s) - I think they're the same model? - these two clowns are using? --RubberLotus
- They both look to be older Colt Detective Specials. The one closest to frame looks to be nickel while the other is blued. StanTheMan (talk) 03:09, 12 October 2016 (EDT)
Quick List of Firearms
If nobody minds, I think I'll use this space to do a quick rundown of the guns in each episode, to fill in on the main page later. Bold will indicate guns I haven't identified yet.
- "The New Original Wonder Woman" (S1E01):
- Paradise Island S&W revolvers
- Bank robbers' Colt Detective Specials
- Vaudeville Winchester rifles
- Vaudeville revolvers
- Teutonic Woman's tommy-gun
- Ashley Norman's P38
- Marcia's derringer
- Spy ring revolvers
- (Drangel also has a sidearm that he shoots Steve with, but I'm not even going to try to ID that one; the green-screen during that part is so horrible it's a miracle I can even make out the actors' faces.)
- "Wonder Woman Meets Baroness von Gunther" (S1E02):
- Arthur Deal's pistol
- "Fausta, the Nazi Wonder Woman" (S1E03):
- Col. Kesselman's pistol
- Rojak's pistol
Spy Ring Revolvers
Here are the spy-ring revolvers that pop up towards the end of the pilot. Can anyone help me identify?
(By the way, Red Buttons makes a lot of "Christ this is stupid" faces here. I wonder if that's the character's opinion on the futility of shooting Wonder Woman, the actor's opinion on the show, or some mix of the two.)
- These also appear to be Detective Specials. StanTheMan (talk) 02:06, 15 October 2016 (EDT)
- Thank you.
