Discussion

i think that this belongs to the SIG-Sauer P220 pistol series --Dillinger 23:46, 22 January 2010 (UTC)

I disagree. This is a completely new design for SIG, asthetics aside.--Spikemonkey 23:50, 22 January 2010 (UTC)

i always though that the p2 at the beginning mean that it is from that series--Dillinger 23:54, 22 January 2010 (UTC)

Then the P230 should be in the series as well (which it should not).--Ben41 23:59, 22 January 2010 (UTC)

you are right, i sorry --Dillinger 00:01, 23 January 2010 (UTC)

It's OK, Dillinger. We forgive you. :)--Spikemonkey 00:07, 23 January 2010 (UTC)

If it can take .45, wouldn't it be possible for them (SIG-Sauer) to make one in 10mm Auto?

Almost any full size pistol can handle 10mm Auto. It is just not a "popular" round, so SIG would risk losing money producing for a caliber that more than likely wouldn't sell that well. The P250 is really a love or hate it gun, and isn't realy selling that well to begin with, so don't expect a 10mm variant any time soon. On an aside, the 10mm operates at a MUCH higher pressure than .45 Auto, so the fact that a pistol can handle .45 doesnt mean anything, in that regard at least.--Spikemonkey 20:13, 23 January 2010 (UTC)

And Orca, thanks for making the page look a bit nicer, but if you wouldn't mind leaving the "c" designation for the gun listed on the page, I would appreciate it. While the compact is the most common P250, there are full-size and subcompact variations, and the specs listed are only for the compact. I will try and get pics and specs for the other ones tonight, when I get home. Thanks again.--Spikemonkey 20:34, 23 January 2010 (UTC)

And, done! For now, at least.--Spikemonkey 00:00, 1 February 2010 (UTC)

Sorry

Sorry for the dumb question, but is the P250 striker-fired or does it just have a spurless hammer?

Spurless hammer. Rumors of a striker-fired version are out there, though.--Spikemonkey 05:04, 2 April 2010 (UTC)
