The film's cast included Ashley Scott, Aidan Gillen, Steve Harris, Nick Gomez, and Gonzalo Menendez. The film was directed by Renny Harlin and produced by Mark Gordon (Speed and Criminal Minds) and would spawn two DTV sequels: 2013's 12 Rounds 2: Reloaded and 2015's 12 Rounds 3: Lockdown.
