The Loner (Le Solitaire) is a 1987 French crime movie directed by Jacques Deray and starring Jean-Paul Belmondo as police commissioner Stan Jalard. Stan's close friend Simon Lecache is killed by criminal Schneider, and now Stan's goal is finding Schneider and bringing him to justice.
The following weapons were used in the film The Loner (Le Solitaire):
Revolvers
Manurhin MR-73
Commissioner Stan Jalard's (Jean-Paul Belmondo) personal weapon is a Manurhin MR-73 Police with 4" barrel. Many other police detectives, officers and security guards carry MR-73 Police (with duty sights) revolvers with 4", 3" and 2.5" barrels.
Colt Python
In the final scenes Stan's revolver switches from a Manurhin MR-73 to another one that is seen only in holster. The grip of the revolver matches Colt Python, and the size of the holster fits 4" or 3" barrel.
Snub Nose Revolvers
In several scenes police inspectors are seen with snub nose revolvers of unidentified model. In final scene Schneider's girlfriend Sandra (Yolande Gilot) also uses a snub nose revolver.
Pistols
Beretta M951
In the opening scene Schneider (Jean-Pierre Malo) is armed with a Beretta M951.
Beretta 93R
Beretta 93R is used by Schneider (Jean-Pierre Malo) in several scenes. Sandra (Yolande Gilot) holds the Beretta 93R during the robbery of the armoured van.
Walther P5
Walther P5 is Schneider's (Jean-Pierre Malo) backup weapon. In one scene an African French police inspector carries a P5.
Browning Hi-Power
Browning Hi-Power is used by Schneider's henchman Rocky (Laurent Gendron). When Stan Jalard interrogates arrested René Pignon (François Dunoyer), he shows a photo of Pignon holding a Hi-Power during a robbery.
Walther P38
When René Pignon (François Dunoyer) is arrested by Stan Jalard, he surrenders a Walther P38.
Submachine Guns
MAT-49
MAT-49 SMGs are used by French policemen during the shootout on freight station.
Mini Uzi
Mini Uzi is used by Schneider (Jean-Pierre Malo) during the robbery of the armoured van. Later Schneider's henchman (uncredited) uses a Mini Uzi in attempt to kill Stan.
Rifles
SIG SG 542
SIG SG 542 rifles is used by Schneider's henchmen during the robbery of the armoured van.
Ruger AC556
A Ruger AC556 is used by a police inspector during the shootout at the freight station.
Ruger Mini-14
In the abovementioned scene another police inspector is armed with a Ruger Mini-14.

Atis R.G. 700
Stan uses a Atis R.G. 700 with pistol grip in the final scene.
