Recoil is a 1998 action movie directed by Art Camacho. A group of well-armed and heavy armored robbers commit a bank heist in Los Angeles. After a dramatic shootout in 1997 North Hollywood style the police, suffering numerous casualties, manages to overcome the gangsters and kill their leader who appears to be the younger son of mob boss Vincent Sloan. The following weapons were used in the film Recoil:
Revolvers
Smith & Wesson Model 65
During the bank heist Det. Grant (uncredited) is armed with a Smith & Wesson Model 65 revolver with 3" barrel. Model 65 revolvers are also used by Sloan's bodyguards during the shootout on the villa. In this scene Ray Morgan (Gary Daniels) also uses a Model 65 revolver, captured from a bodyguard. Devon Sloan (Francis Fallon), when disguised as a police officer, uses a stainless steel revolver that also appears to be a Model 65.
Smith & Wesson Model 67
During the bank heist Officer Alex Boorman (Maurice Lamont) is armed with a Smith & Wesson Model 67. Model 67 revolvers are also used by Sloan's bodyguards during the shootout on the villa. In this scene Ray Morgan (Gary Daniels) also uses a Model 67 revolver, captured from a bodyguard.
Smith & Wesson Model 642
During the shootout on Sloan's villa several bodyguards use snub nose hammerless stainless steel revolvers that appear to be Smith & Wesson Model 642. Ray Morgan (Gary Daniels) also uses one of these revolvers.
Smith & Wesson Model 66
During the shootout on Sloan's villa a bodyguard is armed with a snub nose Smith & Wesson Model 66 revolver.
Smith & Wesson Model 14
During the shootout on Sloan's villa Ray Morgan (Gary Daniels) holds a long-barreled revolver with a Patridge front sight that appears to be a Smith & Wesson Model 14. A bodyguard is armed with a same looking revolver (see talk page for full discussion).
Unidentified revolvers
Pistols
Beretta 92FS Inox
Beretta 92FS Inox is Det. Ray Morgan's (Gary Daniels) sidearm. In some scenes he dual-wields this pistol with a Taurus PT92.
Beretta 92FS
In the opening scene one of the robbers uses a Beretta 92FS.
Taurus PT92
Most LAPD detectives and officers, including Captain Trent (Thomas Kopache), are armed with Taurus PT92 pistols. Det. Ray Morgan (Gary Daniels) uses a PT92 dual with his Beretta 92FS Inox.
Glock 17
Marcus Sloan (uncredited) uses a Glock 17 during the bank heist in the opening scene.
Glock 19
Sloan's second-in-command Brown (Billy Maddox) carries a Glock 19. In the final scene Vincent Sloan (Richard Foronjy) and his son Nicholas (Vincent DePalma) use Glock 19s.
SIG-Sauer P226
Various characters use SIG-Sauer P226 pistols.
SIG-Sauer P225
Det. Lucas Cassidy (Gregory McKinney) uses a pistol that appears to be a SIG-Sauer P225.
SIG-Sauer P228
What is possibly a SIG-Sauer P228 is seen in hands of a bank robber in the opening scene.
Walther PPK
In one scene Vincent Sloan (Richard Foronjy) holds a stainless steel Walther PPK.
Submachine Guns
Heckler & Koch MP5A2
Heckler & Koch MP5A2 SMGs are used by Marcus Sloan's gang in the opening scene and by Vincent Sloan's henchmen in the final scene.
Heckler & Koch MP5A3
Heckler & Koch MP5A3 SMGs are also used by Marcus Sloan's gang in the opening scene and by Vincent Sloan's henchman during the assassination of Sgt. Chang.
Cobray M11/9
During the final shootout several of Sloan's henchmen are armed with Cobray M11/9 SMGs.
Uzi
During the final shootout several of Sloan's henchmen are armed with Uzi SMGs.
Shotguns
Valtro PM5
