That part of the movie takes place in the sixties, right? Then it's most likely somekind of CAR-15, they look like XM177E1s

It could be M4s because the director or the armorer didn't know that the M4 didn't exist in the sixties.

-the weapon held by the soldier in the middle has a brass deflector on it, would this not be indicative of it being an M4 that had an XM177E1 flash hider installed?? -Sigpig

They're XM177 mock-ups built with A2 receivers, which we conveniently have [http://www.imfdb.org/wiki/File:Mockcommando.jpg an image of] on the M16 talk page that I've added to this page. [[User:Spartan198|Spartan198]] ([[User talk:Spartan198|talk]]) 05:28, 25 January 2016 (EST)

The M4s are XM177E1s

I don't think that M4 is actually an M4. That part of the movie takes place in the sixties, right? Then it's most likely somekind of CAR-15, they look like XM177E1s It could be M4s because the director or the armorer didn't know that the M4 didn't exist in the sixties.

Thanks
