Billy Crystal returns as Mitch Robbins, who discovers that he is in possession of what appears to be a map leading to a cache of gold that belonged to the former trail supervisor Curly (Jack Palance). Mitch then proceeds to hunt for the gold with the help of his friend Phil (Daniel Stern) and his brother Glenn (Jon Lovitz).
