John Belushi (1949-1982) was an American comedian best known for his time as a cast member on the late night comedy series Saturday Night Live as well as for his memorable roles in such films as Animal House and The Blues Brothers (one of three collaborations with his close friend and fellow SNL cast member Dan Aykroyd). He also was the brother of actor James Belushi. In 1982, he was found dead of a drug overdose at the age of 33.
