I'm not sure that is a 4506, as the bore looks too small to be a .45 and it also appears to have the shorter 5906 length slide. Also (although very hard to tell from this image) it looks like the pistol has a rounded trigger guard to me, which would imply a later gun hence the frame step not matching for a 4506. --commando552 (talk) 07:35, 24 April 2013 (EDT)

: I agree fully about the rounded trigger guard - one thing that threw me off was the frame bulge though, but I forgot all the 5906s have that so that matches up. That plus the bore diameter, and the front end (which also seems a good bit short for a 4506) I have to agree it's a later fixed-sight 5906.

:: I had originally argued against it being a P228 but seeing the better and additional images, I actually think Thejoker is right and that Gideon's SIG here in S2 actually is a P228 rather than the P226 he used previously. The profile shots in the last two caps especially show it has the curve-angle trigger guard of the P228 rather then the hooked/squared guard of the 226, as well as the slightly shorter barrel/slide. I'd have to retract myself and suggest listing it as a P228. StanTheMan (talk) 19:43, 24 November 2014 (EST)

Smith & Wesson 5906- 9x19mm. Note the late model 5906 pistols have the rounded trigger guard.

DBL Shotgun

I'd like to get a specific ID on this if possible so I can get a gun thumbnail on the page with it -

Gideon's SIG (Moved from original discussion page)

FBI Senior SSA Jason Gideon's SIG looks more like a SIG-Sauer P228 in the second picture (Last picture on the main page) . The first picture looks like it could even be a single stack version like the P225 or P220. --Thejoker (talk) 20:18, 30 March 2013 (EDT)

The gun in the second screen looks too big for a 228/229 so I'd have to say it's a larger gun, most likely a 226. I'd also say, judging by his grip that it's a bit beefy there which suggests it is the double-stack P226. I don't believe the older (9mm) P220s haven't been around much in recent years.
