:It isn't a Nagant as this revolver has regular fluting on the cylinder. Also it looks like it has a 5 shot cylinder as opposed to the 7 in a Nagant. I would ''guess'' it is an I or J frame S&W, but there really isn't enough to go on. --[[User:Commando552|commando552]] 18:28, 18 April 2012 (CDT) | :It isn't a Nagant as this revolver has regular fluting on the cylinder. Okay, I'm gonna come out and say it. That Single Barrel Shotgun in the episode "Skin Deep" is a Winchester Model 1897. I've seen this episode. There are shots where you get a clear view of the gun in that episode. If you look closely under the barrel in that screencap, you can make out the end of the magazine tube. --[[User:500Magnum|500Magnum]] | |||

The shotgun pictured is not the one used in the episode. The pictured gun was not even imported into the US until more than a decade after the series finished. In "Distant Relative", the double shotgun used was a boxlock and had a beavertail-type forearm, with the release latch at the tip of the forearm. I'm not sure of the exact brand and model, I'd need a much better look. Might be an SKB or something similar to one. It appeared to be a 12-gauge by looking at the barrel diameters. |

Magnum's ".45"
Reading the little information about Magnum's Colt Government starting out as a .45 and then being switched to a 9mm doesn't hold water to me. In the pilot episode there is clearly a line going down the magazine which if I remember correctly is a signature of a Colt 1911 pistol being chambered in 9mm. --cool-breeze 10:26, 24 February 2011 (UTC)

Is it just me or does the muzzle look to be ungodly huge for such a small weapon? --Charon68 09:28, 6 March 2011 (MSK) Agreed. I mean, it might just be the camera angle, but damn... Acora 11:03, 6 March 2011 (MSK)
Possiblly a .45. --cool-breeze 01:46, 7 March 2011 (MSK)
- Well I know it's a .45 I'm just saying it seems larger than normal for even a .45's muzzle diameter.--Charon68 02:58, 7 March 2011 (MSK)
- It has a bull barrel (no bushing) that's why it seems overly large.--Predator20 05:31, 7 March 2011 (MSK)
No Need to Know
In the season 1 episode 5 a female character pulls a silenced revolver on Magnum. The gun clearly has a suppressor fitted but when she drops it the suppressor is gone. The only revolver I know that would make use of a suppressor is the gas sealed Nagant M1895. Can you tell if it is the one in the episode? These captures are not the best but the gun is never in a focused shot. http://postimage.org/image/w2fs5z3ct/ --Ristipiste 18:05, 18 April 2012 (EEST)

Steyr SSG 69
If memory serves Magnum uses the Steyr SSG 69 PII version noted by the dual triggers. In the scene where he is lining up for the shot you clearly see him pulling the first trigger before moving to the second for his shot. --Charon68 19:39, 18 April 2012 (CDT)
