See, this is why I say that we should all become armorers for Hollywood films. It'd be about damn time for the armorers to actually know what the heck they're talking about. I mean, first Hitman, and now this. [[User:Acora|Acora]] 07:21, 12 June 2010 (UTC)

Yep, it appears to be a PLR-16 due to the shape of the pistol grip and lack of buttstock. Very distinctive round cutouts in bottom of magwell.

These are the only pics I could get from the trailer. Some guns were just too damn blurry. -The Winchester

  • If it's not a big issue, I replaced your pictures with some better quality ones from the IGN trailer. Markit
I was schooled. Bravo Markit. -The Winchester
You guys did a stellar job of screencapping the publicly available trailers! :) I will put a notice on the main movie page, just so that people know that you did a great job without bootlegging. Great job, gentlemen! MoviePropMaster2008 08:51, 27 October 2009 (UTC)

Is it just me or did it look like the there guns were firing "blaster bolts". or it could just tracer rounds that look like "blaster bolts" Rex095

What the fuck is a blaster bolt?-Oliveira 11:51, 13 June 2009 (UTC)
Ever seen Star Wars? The little coherent flashes of light that come out blasters (the guns in Star Wars) are called 'bolts.'Atypicaloracle 07:47, 23 April 2010 (UTC)

some of the guns look like there were shoot bolts of light. just like in the future seen in the old terminator movies. or it could just be tracer rounds Rex095

That is quite ridiculous.-Oliveira 12:11, 13 June 2009 (UTC)
But that is good since this movie was made by the same guys that made Crank and the more ridiculous Crank gets, the better it gets.-Oliveira 12:21, 13 June 2009 (UTC)
My current pet theory on the 'bolts of light' is that they are literally "in-game" special effects. It occurred to me while playing Modern Warfare (which is the same style of game that "Slayers" is based on) that everyone seemed to be using tracer rounds - I could see where my own and enemy fire was headed if I were paying attention. Atypicaloracle 07:45, 23 April 2010 (UTC)

There is an UMP45 seen around 2:30, and the flamethrower is a Russian LPO 50.

Pistols

There are definitely at least 2 pistols in this movie. One is at the beginning, during the 27th Game, around the 3 minute mark. and the second is later in the movie where Kable is forced to kill his friend.

The revolver when he escapes with his wife - that's definitely a Mateba, though some (presumably cosmetic) bits are added under the barrel.

It is a Mateba, it was originally modified for the movie "Serenity". David.

Someone look in the image where the guy has a handheld M1919. There's a dude in the background with what looks like a full-sized Glock (Most likely a 17) --GamerfreakB7 Destroying the world, one hippie at a time. 02:07, 12 June 2010 (UTC)

Knives

Any idea what Hackman's knife was? It was a fixed plade tanto with what looked to be green G10 scales

It's some kind of combat knife that I have seen before, but can't remember the name Excalibur01

It's a S&W Homeland Security knife. http://www.knivesplus.com/smith-and-wesson-knife-sw-cksur4.html

Cobray 37mm on G36 (moved from main page)

Firing the M203 probably will be uncomfortable since these two weapons were never designed to work together. why couldn't they just use a AG36 grenade launcher which was designed to attach to the G36 family

Most likely because the guy who thought of the idea played COD4 and had the 203 for his G36C Excalibur01 19:03, 27 July 2009 (UTC)
He could have just liked the 203 more. The AG36 is kind of fugly. Spartan198 08:23, 14 February 2010 (UTC)

Realistically, they wanted a grenade launcher and the armorer only had Cobrays Excalibur01

That's most likely. But it's also worth mentioning that the AG36 isn't compatible with the G36C. Spartan198 10:22, 23 April 2010 (UTC)

M4 on DVD cover

Error creating thumbnail: File missing

i thought i would bring this up.in the UK (dont know if anyware else has this cover) it incorrectly labels the G36 as an M4. the M4 is in the top right hand corner and thisis the UK cover and not a made-up one. they dont look anything alike. you could no way get these mixed up and the fact this movie is called gamer and has got a lot of inspiration from video games (most likly modern warfare) i dont know how someone could get this mixed up. --Smish34 22:49, 14 February 2010 (UTC)

It's not necessarily pointing at the the G36, The nearest line that goes to the G36 is a distance marker to the next save point. But the M4 still doesn't make sense...--FirearmFanatic 13:34, 7 April 2010 (UTC)

One thing

If you want a good laugh watch the special features. The "armorer" on there apparently has "the only two Saiga 12's in the world," and he "handmade" them. I realize they are customized, but they were not so heavily customized that you cannot recognize them, and he definitely didn't "make" them. Someone watch this and comment, i don't know what the hell he means...--FirearmFanatic 06:08, 2 April 2010 (UTC)

O RLY? He might want to give my town's little Mom n' Pop gun store a call and ask them about the three Saiga's they just got in. He would probably find it... enlightening.--PistolJunkie 01:13, 3 April 2010 (UTC)

Yeah, I'd probably be enlightened too.--FirearmFanatic 13:24, 6 April 2010 (UTC)

M1919

This M1919 looks funny. Could it be an AN/M2?

Looks like one to me. --funkychinaman 19:51, 1 September 2010 (UTC)

Accessories

Nearly every Slayers weapon has a safety mechanism that has a green light when they start "playing" the game. For a while now I can't figure out what this is. Does anyone know if this mount is an actual laser mount or something fabricated for the movie? --gatta-no 6:12, 7 October 2010 (UTC)

Missing Guns

Before the 30th Battle when the Slayers are getting prepared for battle, I believe one was inserting a magazine into a rifle that looked like the Kel Tec SU-16. And during either the 29th or 30th battle one slayer had a Mossberg 500 bullpup. --Mpe2010 03:27, 30 October 2010 (UTC)
