I was not offended at all by your post in the battleship discussion page.  I pointed it out merely because you used the word completely wrong.  A ''''Scapegoat'''' is ''"the practice of singling out any party for unmerited negative treatment or blame."''  In the context of your post, you said that the film would be a 'scapegoat for the Navy to increase recruitment'.  The term Scapegoat made no sense, that's all.  A more correct phrase would be, 'The Navy would use the film as a ''vehicle'' or ''platform'' or ''opportunity'' to 'increase recruitment' since it would be exploited by the Navy, just like they did when [[Top Gun]] was such a big hit.  Hope this helps explain things. In regards to your question on the winchester 1887, i believe the idea was yo aim, fire, then tilt away fron face and lever cycle, or to aim, fire then  bring to hip, cycle then raise back to face.

Apology not required

I was not offended at all by your post in the battleship discussion page. I pointed it out merely because you used the word completely wrong. A 'Scapegoat' is "the practice of singling out any party for unmerited negative treatment or blame." In the context of your post, you said that the film would be a 'scapegoat for the Navy to increase recruitment'. The term Scapegoat made no sense, that's all. A more correct phrase would be, 'The Navy would use the film as a vehicle or platform or opportunity to 'increase recruitment' since it would be exploited by the Navy, just like they did when Top Gun was such a big hit. Hope this helps explain things. MoviePropMaster2008 01:36, 21 September 2011 (CDT)

In regards to your question on the winchester 1887, i believe the idea was yo aim, fire, then tilt away fron face and lever cycle, or to aim, fire then bring to hip, cycle then raise back to face.
