:Yep. Back then, the Provos got most of their weaponry from their idiot identity-challenged Irish-American supporters in the U.S., and the AR-18 and AR-15 (also used heavily by them) were pretty much the only two "assault rifles" available from U.S. gun stores in the 1970s. Of course, as soon as the IRA got in bed with Qaddafi, he sent them all the Soviet bloc weaponry they wanted. -[[User:MT2008|MT2008]] 22:40, 8 March 2009 (UTC) | |||

I added the line items for the other guns you mentioned so that there would be the minimum requirement to get a 'table of contents of guns' on the page. Harry's Game was a novel before it was produced as a mini-series on British television in 1982. The novel was written in the mid seventies by Gerald Seymour and at that time the AR-18 had become associated with the IRA. Much like the Thompson Submachine Gun was in the twenties.Jcordell

Additional guns
I added the line items for the other guns you mentioned so that there would be the minimum requirement to get a 'table of contents of guns' on the page. This helps the formatting as well as give the page some space for the poster. MoviePropMaster2008 05:20, 8 May 2009 (UTC)
