Planet Terror is the first half of 2007's Grindhouse double bill which includes Death Proof. The horror film was directed by Robert Rodriguez, and follows a group of survivors that struggle to escape a town filled with inhabitants infected with a deadly virus. Planet Terror was released on DVD separately with additional scenes added and featured a mock trailer for a revenge film called Machete, which was subsequently expanded into a full theatrical film released in 2010.
The following weapons were used in the film Planet Terror:
Sheriff Hague (Michael Biehn) carries a 4 inch stainless Colt Python with rubber grips as sidearm throughout the film. Deputy Tolo (Tom Savini) also uses a similar Colt Python outside the police station. During that scene, at the hospital and at the Bone Shack, both Hague and Tolo’s Colt Python switches to a 4 inch stainless Ruger Security Six in a continuity error back and forth. Wray (Freddy Rodriguez) is given a Ruger Security Six by Sheriff Hague at The Bone Shack it where it switches back to a Colt Python and he uses it through the end of the film.

A Single Action Army is used by Earl McGraw (Michael Parks). It is amazingly seen firing seven shots when he uses it against the infected Dr. Block (Josh Brolin). Director Robert Rodriguez notes on the DVD commentary that he purposely added the seventh shot in the sound mix.
Deputy Tolo (Tom Savini) carries a Mossberg 500 in the hospital when Wray is first picked up. Hot Female Deputy (Emmy Robbin) uses a Mossberg 500 throughout the film until it's taken by Military Unit. Babysitter Twin #1 (Electra Avellan) carries one when they flee The Bone Shack.
Deputy Carlos (Carlos Gallardo) use a Mossberg 500 Bantam that has the barrel slightly sawed down until he is killed. Sheriff Hague (Michael Biehn) then uses it until they are forced to leave The Bone Shack.
The M16A1 is used by the soldiers and the survivors at the Army base. When the group rearms an M16A2 Cherry is carrying turns into an M16A1 in an continuity error.
The following screen captures show how the gun was integrated via CGI into the shots of Rose McGowan's performance. Her leg was wrapped in a green or gray-colored cast & the rifle was mapped over it to achieve the effect.
Babysitter Twin #1 (Electra Avellan) uses a Cobray M11/9 fitted with a barrel shroud until she is given a Mossberg 500. One of the survivors is then seen with it when they leave The Bone Shack.
In the police stations armory several shotguns and rifles are seen.
Error creating thumbnail: File missingFrom left the right. A Mossberg 500, Winchester 1894, two Mossberg 500's. The last firearm in the rack is a shotgun and it appears to me to be a Winchester Model 12 from the barrel, magazine tube, and how they are attached to one another. The first to last is a rifle of some sort. It almost appears to be a M1 carbine derivative.
