The Colt 1862 Police, also known as "Pocket Police" model, is a pocket revolver, based on the Colt 1860 Army design. Although similar to Model 1860, it is smaller, in particular having a 5-round cylinder. It should not be confused with the "Pocket Navy" model, produced in the same period, which differed in the shape of the frame.
