Unlike previous games it can only be fired in Sniper mode, Doc holds a maximum of 5 bullets for it at once. (Less than the 6-shot cylinder of the Bluntline in past games.) and it has a cooldown of 6 seconds as well as a relatively quiet gunshot noise, being less loud than Cooper's Colt.

Doc also appears to have somehow turned his Buntline's barrel into an integrated suppressor as the sound radius for his Bluntline when fired is only ''slightly'' higher than Kate's nearly silent Derringer.

Desperados: III

Release Date: 2020
Developer: Mimimi Games
Publisher: THQ Nordic
Series: Desperados
Platforms: PC
PlayStation 4
Xbox One
Genre: Real-Time Strategy

Desperados: III is the 4th entry (and third numbered entry) in the series after Desperados: Wanted Dead Or Alive , Desperados 2: Cooper's Revenge and it's standalone expansion Helldorado and is a prequel set before the events of Dead or Alive

Notably the game takes inspiration from Mimimi Productions previous game, Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun which featured matchlock pistols and a scoped rifle making firearms highly limited, Desperados III continues having both long reload times and limited ammunition for guns despite the change to a Wild West setting for the sake of game balance meaning no firearm aside from the Gatling Gun can be fired multiple times without a cooldown.

All Firearms are now instantly lethal towards enemies with the sole exception of "Long coat" enemies, who take 3 gunshots to be put down regardless of what firearm is actually used on them.

The following weapons appear in the video game Desperados: III:

Remington 1858 New Army

The Remington 1858 New Army appears as the "New Model Army" as one of Cooper's two pistols; Cooper is unable to fan the hammer in this game, instead he can dual wield the Remington with his Colt Navy in Showdown mode and fire both to hit two enemies at once. Both the Remington New Army and Colt Navy share ammunition and both require a 12 seconds cooldown before they can be fired again.

Cooper adopts a "Fan the Hammer" stance with his New Army; despite this he can still only fire it once before a 12 second cooldown.

"Bluntline"

Just like in other Desperados games, Doc carries a fictional "Bluntline" long barreled Remington 1858 New Army that he has equipped with a telescopic sight. Unlike previous games it can only be fired in Sniper mode, Doc holds a maximum of 5 bullets for it at once. (Less than the 6-shot cylinder of the Bluntline in past games.) and it has a cooldown of 6 seconds. Unlike past games, Doc will now keep a "Special Bullet" (indicated on the HUD) for shooting any objectives that require the Bluntline, preventing any possible softlocks. Doc also appears to have somehow turned his Buntline's barrel into an integrated suppressor as the sound radius for his Bluntline when fired is only slightly higher than Kate's nearly silent Derringer.

Colt 1851 Navy

The Colt 1851 Navy appears as Cooper's second pistol; it behaves identically to the Remington with both weapons even sharing the same third person model (Which is also used for most enemies as their revolver) with the only noteworthy change being both weapons having different icons and animations when used standalone.

Derringer

Just like in past games, Kate O'Hara carries a Derringer; with its usual low range and less audible gunshot compared to other firearms, Kate can carry a maximum of 5 shots for it and it has a 6 second cooldown. Notably the game claims the Derringer is "nearly silent" with its gunshot being less loud than the short range Kate can use it, this is pretty unrealistic for an unsuppressed firearm.

(She could be spotted however as characters after shooting are briefly completely visible regardless of concealment presumably due to muzzle flash.)

Shotgun

Hector carries a "Sawed-Off Shotgun" as his firearm. Unlike Desperados 1/2 where Sanchez's shotgun fired a spread of pellets with the potential for friendly fire; Hector's Shotgun cannot hurt allies and instead fires in a red cone that instantly kills enemies inside it with no limit allowing Hector to kill an infinite amount of enemies as long as they're in its cone. Hector can carry up to 4 shells for his Shotgun and it has a cooldown of 18 seconds.

Rifle

"Ponchos" and "Long coats" make use of a Rifle that while not usable directly by any member of the team, Isabelle's mind control ability allows her to force a rifle-equipped enemy to use it on another enemy. Notably Long coats will block any attempts at a melee attack on them aside from Hector with their rifle and promptly kill the attacking character unless it's done from behind on a long coat already stunned by another attack. (Such as a gunshot or Doc's Gas Flasks.)

Gatling Gun

Appearing only as stationary emplacements; the Gatling Gun appear very rarely with infinite ammunition to mow down enemies and the only firearm with the potential for friendly fire as it will instantly kill any team member caught in it's cone of fire. Kate's Uncle Ian gifted her a bow-tied Gatling Gun for her wedding which Kate and Cooper use to blast their way out at the end of the mission. It appears to be a fictionalized design at least somewhat based on the Colt Model 1883 Gatling Gun like in Desperados 2 as there appears to be an Accles Drum on the weapon.
