XIII is a 2020 first-person shooter video game, a remake of the 2003 first-person shooter of the same name. While retaining the same story and gameplay of the original, the remake radically changed the art style of the original game, departing from the cel-shaded visuals the original is known for. This includes changes to the weapon models used in the game, which are now more detailed and much more closely resemble their real-life counterparts.
The following weapons appear in the video game XIII (2020):
Handguns
Beretta 92FS Inox
The Beretta 92FS Inox appears as the game's standard handgun and is oddly equipped with a standard blued barrel. This update model replaces the stylized, Beretta 92-based pistol from the original game. The pistol incorrectly only holds 10 rounds in its magazine.
Beretta 92FS with Suppressor
Beretta 92FS Akimbo
Colt Anaconda
The Colt Anaconda returns from the original game, this time much more detailed. As in the original game, it is a very strong weapon, typically killing enemies in two shots. Available in virtually every mission.
Submachine Guns
Mini Uzi
The Mini Uzi reappears from the original. It now appears to have a stainless steel finish.
Mini Uzi Akimbo
Shotguns
Remington 870 Marine Magnum
The Remington 870 Marine Magnum returns, once again in much greater detail than its original counterpart, which more closely resembled a combination of the 870 and an Ithaca 37. While it holds 5-rounds like in the 2003 game, this 870's magazine tube appears visually longer than one that holds 5.
12 Gauge Double Barreled Shotgun
The 12 Gauge Double Barreled Shotgun returns as well.
Assault Rifles
AKM
The AKM replaces the Norinco Type 56 from the original game.
M16A1 with M203 Grenade Launcher
The M16A1 with its permanently fixed M203 Grenade Launcher replaces the original M16 from the original game.
Sniper Rifles
SVD Dragunov
The SVD Dragunov reappears as the game's sole sniper rifle.
Machine Guns
Browning M2HB
The Browning M2HB is once again used an an emplaced weapon in some missions.
M60
The M60 once again appears as a portable machine gun and one of the strongest weapons in-game.
Launchers
Panzerfaust 3
The Panzerfaust 3 returns from the original game as the sole rocket launcher and once again referred to as a "Bazooka". It is also once again depicted as a reloadable rocket launcher like an RPG-7.
Grenades
Mk 2 Grenade
The Mk 2 hand grenade returns, predictably functioning much the same as the original game's grenades.
Other
Crossbow
A crossbow returns as a weapon used for stealth sections.
Crossbow with a magazine
As in the original, a crossbow with a 3-bolt magazine can also be used in stealth missions.
Harpoon Gun
A significantly more detailed handheld harpoon gun appears in the remake.
