Munich, 1900: When Curt Prank, a major brewer from Franconia, decides to expand for the Oktoberfest, the balance of power in the city begins to shake. As an “outsider”, Prank is not allowed to acquire a license at the Oktoberfest, let alone serve his Franconian beer. With bribery and extortion, Prank steals five adjacent lands at the Oktoberfest, which at that time could hold a maximum of 300 guests, in order to build a megalomaniac giant tent for six thousand guests.
