As a European socialist and gun control proponent I suspect I'm not actually the primary demographic of this website (It's not like I can or want to buy any of the handguns that kept being advertised at me!), but sometimes I just need to know what the sketchily drawn gun in the background of one scene in my Japanese animes is called. Besides, some of the commentary is delightfully snarky.

In any case, I need an account to make edits to the Discussion pages, and I need to tell someone that the Eland armour car in COD:BLOPS 2 almost certainly does not use an AA-52 coaxial machine gun because the Eland was manufactured locally in South Africa and therefore would have used locally produced M1919A4s ('MG4' in SAA service). I spent like two or three years doing amateur research on the Border War-era South African Army's tactics and equipment and an IMFDB page is (probably) wrong on the Internet and I want to fix it.
In any case, I need an account to make edits. My qualifications are basically that I'm a huge nerd: I've spent the last five or so years doing amateur research into late Cold War military equipment, with an emphasis on apartheid-era South Africa and the hypothetical European battlefield.

That's my bio. I'm here to make nitpicky edits about South African armoured vehicles and my qualifications is that I'm a huge nerd.
I also dream of being a writer some day, writing bad stories about badass women with firearms solving problems. The many detailed photos of firearms on IMFDB helps greatly with visualizing what that will look like.
