The Smith & Wesson Model 327 is a scandium alloy framed revolver chambered in .357 Magnum. In 2003 the Smith & Wesson Performace Center produced a variant of the Smith & Wesson Model 627 the featured a scandium alloy frame and titanium cylinder and barrel shroud which they marketed as the Model 327SC (due to the fact that all Model 327s feature a scandium frame this is now often referred to as the 327 Carry). In 2006 the Performace Centre introduced the M&P R8 and TRR8 (which are marketed towards police and competition use respectively), which are 5" barrelled variants with steel cylinders and barrel shrouds and fitted with rails.
