The Rookie is a 2018 television series starring Nathan Fillion as John Nolan, a forty-something construction business owner who decides to move to Los Angeles and become an officer with the LAPD. During his probationary period, he must deal with the trials of being a new officer on the job at his age as well as animosity from his watch commander and other fellow officers. The series premiered in the US on ABC in October of 2018. The Rookie: Feds, a series spinoff starring Niecy Nash, premiered in the US on ABC in October of 2022.
