Unidentified
This article currently has one or more unidentified weapons. If you can help identify any of the weapons labelled "unknown," please do so.
Most police detectives, including Inspector Mareuil (Bernard Giraudeau), carry snub nose revolvers. They are seen only in distance or partially.
Pistols
Browning Hi-Power
Throughout most of the movie The Gypsy (Alain Delon) carries a Browning Hi-Power. Hi-Power pistols are also used by The Gypsy's partners Jo Amila (Renato Salvatori) and Jacques Helman (Maurice Barrier) and by Rinaldi Brothers' henchman during the shootout in Rinaldi's bar.
An unknown version of Hi-Power is seen in hands of Jo Amila (Renato Salvatori) during the bank robbery. It has a raised rear sight like Inglis Hi-Power but different in shape. Same pistol is used by The Gypsy during the shootout in Rinaldi's bar.
Beretta M1951
The Gypsy (Alain Delon) uses a Beretta M1951 pistol in several scenes in the final part of the movie.
MAC Mle 1950
MAC Mle 1950 pistols are seen in hands of policemen and security guards. During the robbery of the armoured van The Gypsy (Alain Delon) and Jacques Helman (Maurice Barrier) take pistols from guards.
During the shootout in Rinaldi's bar Jo Amila (Renato Salvatori) uses an M1911A1-style pistol. It can be the same Star that Jo used during the car chase but this pistol seems to have a shorter barrel.
In one scene a safe cracker Yan Kuq (Paul Meurisse) holds a Walther P38. Then he gives it to Ninie (Annie Girardot) who quickly hids the pistol. P38s are also used by police.
