The Gauntlet is a 1977 action film directed by and starring Clint Eastwood as Ben Shockley, a Phoenix PD detective assigned to escort Gus Mally (Sondra Locke), a reluctant witness to an Arizona courthouse to testify in a case involving the mob and corrupt government officials. As he transports the witness, he must escape the massive forces who are intent on stopping him from reaching his destination.
The following weapons were used in the film The Gauntlet:
Handguns
Smith & Wesson Model 66
Phoenix Detective Ben Shockley (Clint Eastwood) carries a Smith & Wesson Model 66 with a 2.5" barrel in the film. It's also used by Gus Mally (Sondra Locke). The revolver has a square butt profile, instead of the round butt, more common in the short-barreled version of this revolver.

M16 SP1
The M16 is used by numerous cops when they fire at the bus. Also used by the officers who fire on the house that Shockley and Mally are holed up in.
Armalite AR-18
Another Phoenix officer uses an Armalite AR-18 fitted with a scope when Shockley runs the gauntlet.
