The Cousin (Le cousin) is a 1997 French crime drama directed by Alain Corneau. Drug dealer, nicknamed Nounours ("Teddy Bear") (Patrick Timsit), is the police informer ("The Cousin" is a slang term for such informers) who works for a share of drugs, seized thanks to his help. His contact, inspector Gérard Delvaux (Alain Chabat), is under heavy pressure of Judge Anne Lambert (Marie Trintignant) who is in crusade against this illegal practices.
The following weapons were used in the film The Cousin (Le cousin):
Revolvers
Manurhin F1
Manurhin F1 is the personal handgun of Inspector Gérard Delvaux (Alain Chabat).
Manurhin MR-73
Most other police inspectors, including Francis (Samuel Le Bihan), Jeannot (Mehdi El Glaoui), and Michel (Christophe Peyroux), carry Manurhin MR-73 revolvers with 3" barrels and duty sights.
Ruger GP100
Police Inspector Fanny (Caroline Proust) carries a revolver. Ruger GP100 appears to be the best guess.
Smith & Wesson Model 686
One of the bodyguards of drug boss N'Bongo carries a revolver that appears to be the Smith & Wesson Model 686 with 3" compensated barrel.
Pistols
Taurus PT92
Nounours (Patrick Timsit) owns the Taurus PT92 pistol.
M1911A1
In one scene Nounours (Patrick Timsit) sells the M1911A1 to a robber. During the conflict with N'Bongo Nounours grabs the 1911 from one of the bodyguards.
Browning Hi-Power
During the heist the pistol of the first robber switches from 1911 to Browning Hi-Power in a continuity error.
Shotguns
Mossberg 500
During the heist the second robber is armed with the Mossberg 500 shotgun.
Remingon 870
In continuity error, Mossberg 500 turns into Remington 870 afterwards.
