The episode "Here's Negan" finally implied the start of the Apocalypse being back in 2010 and currently it's most likely set in 2022, given that it has been over 10 years in the timeline, ''[[Fear the Walking Dead]]'' already confirmed it started in 2010, that being said, should we start labeling specific guns that shown throughout the whole series, ''Fear'', & ''Beyond'' that look like they don't belong as an anachronism??

I would safely say that this is a custom short barreled rifle AR-15 with a side-charging AR Stoner (or something similar) upper with a stock similar to that of a ACE Skeleton and a bayonet and EOTech scope. I'mallaboutguns.1 (talk) 00:26, 2 October 2020 (EDT)
I think the producers attempted to mimic the look of the rifles used by Commonwealth troops in the comics, which have a similar layout with the bayonet, side mounted charging handle, and reflex sight. Said rifles vaguely resemble the FN FNC. --PyramidHead (talk) 19:09, 3 October 2020 (EDT)
A few BTS photos with these rifles are here and here. --Pustelga7 (talk) 5 October 2020

Anachronistic Guns

The episode "Here's Negan" finally implied the start of the Apocalypse being back in 2010 and currently it's most likely set in 2022, given that it has been over 10 years in the timeline, Fear the Walking Dead already confirmed it started in 2010, that being said, should we start labeling specific guns that shown throughout the whole series, Fear, & Beyond that look like they don't belong as an anachronism??
