The rifle is hardly a Swedish Mauser. First, it has shorter barrel, second, turned down bolt handle, third, hooded front sight, fourth, the different rear sight, and last but not least, if I see correct, there is semi-pistol grip of the stock. Very possibly this is a Mauser rifle but not Swedish 1896. For now I have no guess what exactly it is. --Greg-Z (talk) 14:40, 14 November 2021 (EST)

Romanian service Mauser is a Czech vz.24 that has straight bolt handle and different front sight. I cannot see the nose cap of the stock quite well, but again if my eyes don't decieve me (which is quite possible, to my great sorry), the rifle may be an ordinary Karabiner 98k, the wartime version with hooded front sight. Some features make me doubt, so I wouldn't bet that it's a 98k, but still something similar. Maybe somebody with better eyesight will help. --Greg-Z (talk) 15:19, 14 November 2021 (EST)
Yes, it's seems to be Kar98k. Thanks for the help. Pyramid Silent (talk) 15:43, 14 November 2021 (EST)
