I believe that the use of plastic shotgun shells in the Browning Auto-5 is anachronistic. The last of the robberies portrayed in the film occurred in 1924, but plastic shotgun shells weren't introduced until 1960. Paper or solid brass shotgun shells would be more correct for the time period.
