:: I definitely agree this is a strange instance to use a mockup live firearm, and stranger still to use an L85 as the base - I would be of the mind if you were to use a live firearm, a Ruger MZ14 Bullpup would be the more likely candidate. Not only is it the sort of go-to rifle for these kinds of things (Starship Troopers being a prime example) but they are well known for practically never stovepiping or jamming with blanks. ==SIG Model Confirmation==
I have two comments. Firstly, people know that SIG does not refer to their pistols as R versions anymore (as in P226R), since rails are default in most of their pistols now (Except maybe the SAS and subcompacts). People only refer to SIG pistols as R versions in a context to differentiate them from the older non-railed version. I only mention this because Antonio Banderas's SIG in the plane is definitely not railed, so it's not an R verion (May be a continuity error because when he's firing akimbo the rail shows on the gun).
| |||
Secondly the gun that Luna briefly uses in the final firefight does not seem to be a P226 at all. I think it is a SP2022. The reason I believe so is the pin end on the right side of the gun, which is actually a part of the slide stop/release that needs to be removed for the gun to be field-stripped. The P226 and the rest of the metal classic line have a smooth right side because they are field-stripped differently.

: Hard to tell, but it seems like a turret containing a 14.5mm KVPT, as usually seen on BTRs and BRDMs. Not as likely, but still possible it might also be a M2HB with that weird flash hider you see sometimes, meant to stand-in for a KPVT. Again, hard to tell. That said. is this an actual BMP or some kind of mockup? I ask because it's weird seeing that particular weapon/setup on it - Genuine BMPs as I understand are more IFVs/CFVs, and contain either a ~30mm autocannon or a 76mm gun, both in a larger tank-style turret (the 76mm version has a domed turret more in the middle front of the vehicle and the autocannon version in a dome turret more toward to rear). Are we sure that Barney's Colt / Noveske hybrid is a sixteen inch model? It seems much shorter to me, somewhere between Christmas' short HK 416 and the other guys' M4s.
There's not much barrel poking out past the gas port - to my admittedly inexperienced eyes it looks like the barrel is closer to the length of a Colt 933.

Hi guys, I am still quite new here so i don't really know how should I format my post... Anyway, here are some fresh posters released yesterday: http://ck101.com/thread-2955710-1-1.html
"Trench" Mauser (Arnold Schwarzenegger) seems to really like the AA-12 and Lee Christmas (Jason Statham) should be using the P226 SCT again.
Arsenal Shipka SMG?
While watching the film I saw gun similar to Bulgarian Arsenal Shipka SMG. It was used in the final battle by Smilee character (Kellan Lutz), when he drove on the bike. Anyone can confirm?--Chris22lr (talk) 14:12, 27 August 2014 (EDT)
XM25 is really a mocked up L85A1
Did anyone else notice this? If not then sweet! I'm the first! I noticed that the XM25 that Mars uses looks like it has the bolt of an L85A1, like it was a mock up. Take a look.
What do y'all think-Gunner5
- This is really weird for a few reasons:
- To start with, based on the fact that there is a fired cartridge stuck in the ejection port we can rule out that this is airsoft and is an actual L85A1. This is a relatively uncommon gun in civilian hands, so it strikes me as odd that they would choose to modify one of these into this thing when they could have used literally any bullpup, or even a conventional rifle in a bullpup stock like the Moritas from Starship Troopers.
- Why does it even need to be based on a real gun? The cases that would be ejected would be way to small and look ridiculous, and it isn't like their is recoil from blanks so this would be massively exaggerated anyway. I suppose that it has the advantage of being able to have some muzzle flash, but this can be done with CG and would probably be enhanced anyway.
- If you look at higher res versions of this image you can see that the case that is jammed in the chamber is a fired blank, but the base is facing outwards. Is this possible? I have never seen it before, only the typical "stovepipe" with the mouth of the case facing out. I can't think of a way for the empty case to wind up in this position unless it bounced off of a wall back into the chamber as it was closing or something weird like that.
- I agree that this is deffinitely an L85A1, but it is just a weird choice. --commando552 (talk) 09:51, 8 September 2014 (EDT)

AK
Aren't the AKs in the movie AK-47s instead of AKMs, as evidenced by the barrel? --Ultimate94ninja (talk) 15:58, 22 September 2014 (EDT)
- Do you mean the lack of a slant muzzle brake? If so, this is not integral to the barrel and can be removed from an AKM, or for that matter fitted to an AK-47 so that doesn't necessarily help ID it. The only picture that really helps ID them is the first one which only shows the bottom, however from the lack of a bayonet lug on the gas block this does narrow it down somewhat, and combined with the fact that it has a sling loop on the gas block and what appears to be a milled receiver (not 100% on this though) I think that would make it either a Type III AK-47 or an Norinco Type 56 "M22". --commando552 (talk) 19:18, 22 September 2014 (EDT)
- Ah, okay, thanks man. --Ultimate94ninja (talk) 12:41, 23 September 2014 (EDT)

Starting screencapping
I have started identifying/screencapping this film, should take a few days. I will update the page as I go. Feel free to help/comment on the talk page --LordOfTheLocusts (talk) 14:31, 27 November 2014 (EST)
Do you have this on Blu-ray? If not, just be prepared that your screenshots may be replaced with HD versions in the future. Also, there are already some HD caps on the page and you should not replace these with SD images. --Ben41 (talk) 14:52, 27 November 2014 (EST)

Stallone is suddenly left handed?
How come in the other movies, Stallone was a right handed shooter, then in this movie, Stallone is suddenly a lefty?-Gunner5
- I think he's a lefty in real life. This discussion came up with Bruce Willis as well. --Funkychinaman (talk) 12:53, 26 December 2014 (EST)
- In First Blood, he throws the rock with his left hand. If you had seen the Rocky films, he fights as a southpaw. --Ben41 (talk) 19:41, 6 January 2015 (EST)
