Downtown is a 1990 action comedy starring Anthony Edwards as a Philadelphia police officer who gets transferred from the suburbs to the roughest precinct in the city and gets partnered with a tough "Downtown" detective (Forest Whitaker) in order to take down a crime lord. The film was directed by Richard Benjamin.

Philadelphia Police Department Officer Alex Kearney (Anthony Edwards) carries a Smith & Wesson Model 15 revolver. A delusional suspect takes the revolver off an officer and threatens a young girl with it. Other uniformed officers throughout the film also use the S&W.
Ruger Speed Six
Detective Dennis Curren (Forest Whitaker) carries an Ruger Speed Six revolver as his sidearm throughout the film. A memorable scene is where he uses it to shoot Alex's radio while in a hospital bed.

Detective Luisa Diaz (Wanda De Jesus) uses a snub-nosed Smith & Wesson Model 66 during the precinct shootout.
