Synopsis

The film begins with a train leaving a Russian military base, carrying former Soviet Union nuclear weapons scheduled to be decommissioned and destroyed. Along the way, a team of shadowy soldiers kills everyone on the train and steals the nukes. They leave one, which denotates and destorys the evidence after it collides with another train full of innocent civilians. In Washington D.C., a brillant young nuclear weapons expert Dr. Julia Kelly (Nicole Kidman), believes that it wasn't an accident. She convinces the top Washinton brass, who assign Lt. Colonel Tom Devoe (George Clooney), a smooth, but effective Special Forces officer to aid her. Together, they work to find the missing nukes, untangling a web of intrigue involving the U.N. and a Bosnian diplomat, whose family was killed at Sarajavo's infamous sniper valley.

The rooftop snipers tracking the backpack nuke use variants of the Remington Model 700 bolt action rifle in .308 (7.62x51mm) caliber.

The same model of rifle is used by the helicopter sniper to kill Kodorov.

Kodorov's pistol

It's been awhile since I've seen it but I remember Kodorov carrying a Steyr GB, not a CZ75--75.84.96.229 05:32, 28 December 2009 (UTC)Mercer

I confirm, thse General Aleksandr Kodoroff's pistol is a Steyr M-GB.

Unknown Grenade Launcher

I cannot find an exact model number but this weapon appears to be a close match for the weapon in the movie.

Any ideas on what it is?

The revolver grip looks like a square frame Smith and Wesson maybe a K-frame like the Model 10,15,13, or 19. 98.175.58.228 21:11, 2 January 2010 (UTC)
