Mateba (officially MA.TE.BA., short for Macchine Termo-Balistiche) was an Italian firearm manufacturer. Known for the high-quality and unusual handguns designed by Emilio Ghisoni, Mateba manufactured the only automatic revolver in modern production, the Model 6 Unica. It has now gone out of business, making their revolvers incredibly rare and valuable.
Ghisoni's last project before his death was the design of Chiappa Rhino, which shared many elements with his Mateba revolver designs.
