Cat Run is a 2011 action comedy directed by John Stockwell that stars Paz Vega as Cat, an exclusive call girl who unwillingly is witness to a crime committed by a US senator. In order to save her life, she takes evidence from the scene, which gets her chased by classy contract killer Helen (Janet McTeer). Cat then accepts the assistance of the unlikely private investigator team of Julian and Anthony (Alphonso McAuley and Scott Mechlowicz) and together they try to stay alive from Helen and other killers send after them by shady intelligence officer Carver (Karel Roden). Julian and Anthony would return for the 2014 DTV sequel Cat Run 2.

The following weapons were used in the film Cat Run:

Pistols

Walther P99

Helen carries a Walther P99 in her handbag and uses it on several occasions. Cat takes the gun off her in one scene and Anthony is also seen using a Walther P99 during the final shootout at the cocktail party.

Anthony takes a Walther P99 off a security guard and uses it during the shootout at the cocktail party.

Glock 19

During the final shootout, security guards can be seen with a compact Glock pistol. The calibre cannot be identified, but as this movie was shot in Europe, it’s most probably a Glock 19 in the popular 9mm.

FEG P9R

CZ 83

In one scene, a very young hitman shoots a police officer in a car with a CZ 83, the gun is recognizable by the somewhat round barrel and the compact size.

An unlikely assassination; the hitman has his eyes closed and the CZ 83 aimed somewhere above the car...

Beretta 92FS

If it’s not enough, next to above Walther P99 and another gun described below, Helen also keeps a black Beretta 92FS in her handbag. It cannot be 100% identified, but because shells are seen ejected, this gun is assumed to be a blank-firing Beretta 92FS.

Seconds later, the front part of the barrel of her Beretta 92 seems to have mysteriously disappeared!

Bruni 92

Scottish contract killer Sean Moody (Tony Curran) carries what is most probably a Bruni 92 when he confronts Cat in her hotel room. Julian is later seen taking the gun from him.

The grips also seem to point to a Bruni 92.

SIG-Sauer P225

Carver, a shady intelligence officer trying to cover up the senator’s crime, carries a SIG-Sauer P225 as his side arm and uses it in several scenes throughout the movie.

Miscellaneous

Over and Under Shotgun

While aboard the yacht of her employer Carver, Helen spends some time clay pigeon shooting with him. They use over and under shotguns of which the manufacturer/model cannot be identified.

Ammunition

When Helen is preparing for an assassination with her silenced SIG SG 550 (see above), we get a good close-up of the ammunition box. Even though the box appropriately mentions ‘subsonic’, it’s probably some kind of joke because (a) the calibre is incorrect and (b) there are several spelling errors and (c) the manufacturer is mentioned as ‘Manufacturer’…

Helen’s Suitcase

Helen carries two identical suitcases; one for the regular travelling necessities and another for her professional tools (see below); a tea making set, assorted knives/grenades and finally a taken-down SIG SG 550.
