Starsky and Hutch was a television action series that ran on ABC from 1975 to 1979 and starred David Soul as Det. Ken 'Hutch' Hutchinson and Paul Michael Glaser as Det. Dave Starsky, officers with the "Bay City" Police Department, a fictional California city who solve cases in their own unorthodox ways, usually with tips from their reliable informant "Huggy Bear" (Antonio Fargas). The name of the show during its initial run was Starsky AND Hutch, however, later DVD and VHS releases re-titled the series Starsky & Hutch (replacing "and" with "&"), which is the name used for the major motion picture remake Starsky & Hutch in 2004.
