There are a lot of smaller differences that point to it not being a CZ 452, but the main one is that from the size of the ejection port it is clearly not a .22 rifle.  --commando552 18:03, 27 June 2012 (CDT)

CZ is a sponsor of the film and this rifle is her  product! That is  not maybe a 452, but 550 it is also not, so what? there are a lot - 453, 517, 527 etc. The company show it with a gun in advertising, but no specific type - --Pandolfini 18:21, 27 June 2012 (CDT)
The gun depicted in the movie is not a Winchester Model 1873, as far as i can tell; its receiver lacks the removable side-plates, its bolt is an exposed block-shape, rather than the 1873's rod-shaped bolt, and the 1873 is top-ejecting, whereas the gun in the movie appears to be side-ejecting.

Not a Winchester Model 1873

The gun depicted in the movie is not a Winchester Model 1873, as far as i can tell; its receiver lacks the removable side-plates, its bolt is an exposed block-shape, rather than the 1873's rod-shaped bolt, and the 1873 is top-ejecting, whereas the gun in the movie appears to be side-ejecting.

No, look at how the bolt retract back and has a flat side flush with the receiver that covers the ejection port. I think it is a Marlin, probably a Marlin Model 1894 (more specifically it looks like a 1894C). --commando552 (talk) 14:53, 25 March 2014 (EDT)
I'm guessing some sort of Marlin as well. --Funkychinaman (talk) 14:54, 25 March 2014 (EDT) The hero in the movie explicitly says that it is a Winchester rifle. That's why his friend so envies it!--Pandolfini (talk) 20:40, 25 March 2014 (EDT)
