The following weapons were used in Season 1 of the television series Defiance
Handguns Futuristic Pistol A custom futuristic pistol is used by the main character of the series, Joshua Nolan (Grant Bowler ). The weapon is based on a Beretta pistol, with cases being ejected when it is fired and the back portion of the weapon moving back and forth due to a slide moving underneath. It also appears to have two barrels, but the purpose of this is unknown. As the whole weapon is covered with a futuristic shell, it is not possible to identify what the real world weapon underneath is. Also of note is that in-universe, it's listed as an example of Po'Tech , "old Earth technology that’s been cobbled together or jury rigged," making it a homebrew weapon.
