Point Blank is a 1998 direct-to-video action film and the directorial debut of director Matt Earl Beesley. It stars Mickey Rourke, Kevin Gage, Danny Trejo with an appearance by James Gammon. Rourke plays Rudy Ray, an ex-Marine-turned assassin-turned mercenary-turned Texas Ranger who must intervene in a bloody armed standoff at a shopping mall by escaped convicts, one of which is his own brother Joe Ray (Gage.) It was filmed on location in Fort Worth, Texas at what is now the La Gran Plaza.
The following weapons appear in the film Point Blank:
Texas Ranger Mac Bradford (Frederic Forrest) carries a nickel-plated Single Action Army-type revolver with white grips, but it remains in the holster throughout the film.
M1911-type
A police officer is seen firing an M1911-type pistol during the standoff.
Shotguns
Mossberg 590
During the initial attack on the mall, Wallace is armed with a Mossberg 590 shotgun.
Benelli M1 Super 90
Wallace later upgrades to a Benelli M1 Super 90 shotgun, with pistol grip and weaponlight.
Many of the henchmen use MP5A3 submachine guns. The FBI SWAT team also carries them. Rudy Ray takes an MP5 off of a dead henchman and uses it for part of the film.
Some henchmen also use Heckler & Koch MP5K-PDWs. The FBI SWAT team also uses them. Rudy Ray uses one for part of the film, with C-More optics and a suppressor.
Rifles
CAR-15
A henchman opens fire on the prison bus with a CAR-15 fitted with a C-More red dot sight optic.
Sonny carries a tricked out M16A1 for most of the film. The rifle has an M203 grenade launcher, a suppressor, and a C-More red dot sight.
Bushmaster M17S
Joe Ray (Kevin Gage) carries a Bushmaster M17S for most of the film. It has a scope and a suppressor.
Colt Model 733
Rudy Ray carries a Colt Model 733 when he gets to the mall. The flash suppressor is missing, and he later screws on a suppressor in its place.
Heckler & Koch SR9(T)
Billy is given a Heckler & Koch SR9(T). It has that slim longer 'sporting style' handguard that HK imported into the US for only a few months. He only fires it once despite carrying it for most of the film.
Barrett M82
A henchman fires on cops from the roof of the mall with a Barrett M82 rifle.
