El Alamein - The Line of Fire (Italian Title: El Alamein - La linea del fuoco) is a 2002 Italian World War II film directed by Enzo Monteleone. The story take place during The Second Battle of El Alamein (Autumn 1942). A young volunteer Serra arrives to the Pavia Division which was located on the southern line of front in Egypt. Unbearable heat, periodic artillery shelling, bad water, hunger and dysentery exhausts Italian soldiers. Soon becomes aware that the British troops prepare an offensive.

Beretta M1934 is the sidearm of all Italian officers and NCOs. Sgt. Rizzo (Pierfrancesco Favino) and Lt. Fiore (Emilio Solfrizzi) are notably seen with these pistols.
