Rifles
M1 Garand
The player starts off with an M1 Garand rifle on most of the mission. Virtually every U.S soldier is equipped with this rifle in the game. When reloading, it appears that the player character uses his hand in a quick motion to prevent the bolt from slamming after inserting a clip, and then manually pushes it forward. This is the only Call of Duty game where this method is used; in the others, the player character either lets the bolt snap automatically forward, or needs to push it himself.

M1A1 Thompson
The player starts off with an M1A1 Thompson after being promoted to Corporal in the Piano Lupo level. The Bonus Materials description inaccurately states that it was used by gangsters during the Prohibition era, whereas it was the M1921; in fact, the M1A1 wasn't in existence during that time.

Beretta Model 38 Hybrid
A hybrid between the Beretta Model 38/42 and the Model 38/44 appears in the game; it has the former's recoil spring extension at the back of the receiver, and the latter's unfluted barrel. It is erroneously referred to as the earlier Model 38A, though, and incorrectly fires from a closed bolt. It is used by the Italians in the Sicilian invasion level.

M1918A2 Browning Automatic Rifle
The Browning Automatic Rifle is usable in some levels levels. The Bonus Materials description makes a similar mistake as with the Thompson, by stating that the M1918A2 BAR was Clyde Barrow's weapon choice, when it was actually a cut down version of the original M1918, and the M1918A2 wasn't in existence during his crime spree.

Discussion

Can we make this an actual page?

This page is a lot better structured than it was before, because the weapons have been categorized by headers plus more of the weapons have video game screenshots of them.

I was thinking based on that, that this can go from a discussion to an actual page. --Prat21 (talk) 10:52, 23 August 2018 (EDT)

Can you get all the necessary screenshots? --Funkychinaman (talk) 12:09, 23 August 2018 (EDT)
If it comes to the Xbox One backwards compatibility list, I will definitely buy it and get some proper images. Just have to hope Microsoft keeps growing the catologue in that regard.--AgentGumby (talk) 13:17, 23 August 2018 (EDT)

I'd say that it could be created as a WIP; there's enough for a basic page, but it could still use some work. A bunch of the screen caps are still off - some of them, like the Garand, the Carcano, and the MG42's iron sights are undersized and/or stretched-out, while others (like the Steilhandgranate and the Hotchkiss) are so dark that you can barely tell what you're looking at; the captions could also use some work, and it might be a good idea to show off more than just the basic first-person model of the gun (e.g. what the world model looks like, aiming down sights, different parts of the reload animation, firing, etc.). Like I said, it works for now, but it's a bit bare-bones. Pyr0m4n14c (talk) 11:05, 14 April 2019 (EDT)
We're missing a cap for the K98, and the M1 Garand cap looks like it's also from a different game as the graphics look sharper and the compass is missing. Please fill in these gaps, because like I said two months ago, there's no point creating yet another incomplete page. --Funkychinaman (talk) 21:23, 17 April 2019 (EDT)
Basically what FCM said, plus the MAS-36 image needs to be replaced as well. On another note, I understand that it's currently hard to obtain screenshots for this game, but I do hope someone manages to do it and replace all the images on this page, considering that almost all of them were taken from YouTube videos (with many of them being clearly from the same original uploader). --Ultimate94ninja (talk) 17:28, 19 April 2019 (EDT)
