Rififi (original title Du rififi chez les hommes; "rififi" is a French slang word, meaning trouble or violent conflict) is a 1955 French B&W crime drama directed by Jules Dassin and based on the novel by Auguste Le Breton. Four seasoned criminals plan a perfect theft in jewelry store. But everything goes wrong, when after the sucessful heist one of the criminals gifts a stolen ring to his mistress.
The following weapons were used in the film Rififi (Du rififi chez les hommes):
Star Model 1
In the scene in Mario Ferrati's (Robert Manuel) apartments, Ferrati takes a Star Model 1 pistol from a cache and gives it to Tony le Stéphanois (Jean Servais). Later same looking pistol (probably same prop reused) is seen in hands of Louis Grutter (Pierre Grasset), a member of rival gang.
Walther P38
Pierre Grutter (Marcel Lupovici), the boss of rival gang, carries a Walther P38 pistol. Later a P38 is seen in hands of Tony le Stéphanois (Jean Servais); this appears to be a continuity error as Tony previously had a Star pistol.
Luger P08
Tony le Stéphanois (Jean Servais) takes a Luger P08 from Jo le Suedois (Carl Möhner) and uses it in several scenes, notably the final shootout with Pierre Grutter.
Toy revolver
A Colt-style toy revolver is seen in hands of Jo's five-year-old son Tonio (Dominique Maurin, at that time six years old).
